ESOL/SSOL Department
The ESOL/SSOL department provides language learners with the English and/or Spanish language instruction and cultural support necessary for their academic and social progress. Students are assigned to the ESOL/SSOL program after language proficiency testing or faculty referral.
Language learners (LLs) may receive either direct instruction from certified ESOL/SSOL teachers through push-in sessions during mainstream classes or basic language support during pull-out sessions. The type of support our students receive is determined upon assessment.
3rd -12th grade LLs may also receive support through the after school language acquisition program if so recommended by the admissions team, teachers or principals.
