High School
Our high school program includes grades 9-12 and focuses on preparing our students for university, and life in general. The academic program is challenging and focuses on the application of knowledge and skills to evaluate understanding.
Students participate in a number of curricular and extra-curricular activities, which enhance their overall learning experience. Our aim is to graduate students who are prepared both personally and academically, and become active in the communities in which they live.
Graduation requirements
CCHS will confer diplomas to its first graduating class in June 2011. Current students are preparing for entrance to universities in the Dominican Republic, the US, and European nations. In order to graduate and earn a high school diploma, students must complete 60 hours of community service, pass National Exams, and complete a minimum of 28 credit hours during 9-12 grade years in the following areas: 4 credits of English Language Arts 4 credits of Mathematics 4 credits of Science 4 credits of Spanish Language Arts 3 credits of Social Sciences 3.25 credits of Estudios Sociales y Civica 2.75 credits of Electives 1 credit of French 2 credits of Physical Education.
