letter from Director
The school’s teaching approach is heavily influenced by constructivism. We implement an eclectic approach to teaching, which draws on various approaches such as whole language, learning centers, project approach, backward design among others. We promote understanding and ownership of skills, content, and competencies within a context of curriculum integration, direct experiences and significant life long learning.
The vast experience accumulated over more than 35 years in the field of education allowed its proprietors to design facilities intended to satisfy the needs of students from early childhood through high school. The wealth of resources and equipment, the careful selection of teachers, and its competitive and innovative program, make CCHS a space in which students enjoy learning to learn.
The Cap Cana Heritage School offers an English immersion program, which provides a suitable setting for the acquisition of a second language. Immersing students in a print and language rich environment will enhance their English language development. At CCHS, our Students receive instruction in English all day, except for subjects required by the Ministry of Education which are Spanish, Dominican Social Studies, Civics and French, which are taught in their respective languages.
I encourage you to take advantage of everything CCHS has to offer, from the variety of fun and enriching activities that take place throughout the year, to our programs and course offerings. If you are looking for a school that encourages its students to develop their interests both inside and outside of the classroom, CCHS is the ideal educational setting for your family.
Sincerely,

Yazmin Estrella
School Director
